At the recent 2023 International Network for Economic Method meetings in Venice I presented a chapter from my forthcoming book on identity and capabilities. The chapter reviews embodied cognition literatures, including Simon's views. Embodied cognition is an alternative to the standard Cartesian view that cognition occurs only within the person.
